Novatron Fusion Group recognized on Ny Teknik's prestigious 33-listan

Swedish Novatron Fusion Group made Ny Teknik's prestigious 33-listan 2024, recognizing the 33 most promising tech startups in Sweden. This highlights our pioneering work in fusion energy and its potential to shape a future of clean, sustainable power.

The "33-listan" is an annual ranking published by leading Swedish technology magazine Ny Teknik. It celebrates early-stage companies leading in innovation across various sectors with the potential to make a global impact.

It's evident that the Swedish innovation climate is very strong, with over 400 companies nominated—all striving to contribute to a better and more sustainable society. We are truly humbled and encouraged by being recognized on the list, says Peter Roos, CEO of Novatron Fusion Group.

Novatron is well-positioned to tackle the world's energy challenges. Founded by Jan Jäderberg and Erik Odén, and led by CEO Peter Roos, the Stockholm-based company has grown rapidly since its inception in 2019, making significant strides in developing technology that could provide the world with clean, limitless energy.

With significant initial backing, including 150 million SEK in venture capital and partnerships with key players like the UK Atomic Energy Authority, the company today consists of approximately 50 highly skilled employees and a growing network of industry and governmental supporters.

The company's state-of-the-art plasma experiment at KTH aims to prove a key step towards achieving sustainable fusion energy. Novatron's unique reactor design, featuring a patented concave magnetic field and symmetrical containment, positions it at the forefront of fusion technology.

Upon completing the N1, Novatron Fusion Group will start experiments to validate the stable confinement of its hydrogen plasma, essentially proving that the solution doesn’t have the instabilities that other magnetic confinement concepts have.

In parallel, it is perfecting the conceptual design of the N2, which will form part of the systems that are needed for building a fusion power plant. With its disruptive fusion technology, Novatron Fusion Group can make a significant impact on the energy and climate market.

This recognition not only celebrates our momentum as a company but also signals the enormous potential for the fusion energy market for investors and new technology startups that will emerge in our wake, stated Peter Roos.
