Swedish Think Tanks Unite at Novatron Fusion Group to Explore the Future of Fusion Energy

In a unique cross-ideological meeting, Novatron Fusion Group AB hosted a high-profile delegation of Swedish thought leaders at its prototype test facility at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Among the visitors were PM Nilsson from the market-liberal think tank Tankesmedjan Timbro and Jesper Bengtsson from the progressive Dagens Arena. The visit was guided by Novatron CEO Peter Roos and key members of the senior team.

The gathering underscored a shared recognition of fusion energy's transformative potential for Sweden and the world. Novatron Fusion Group’s pioneering approach aims to unlock the possibility of a future powered by abundant, clean energy.

The facility visit offered a first-hand look at the technology that could help solve some of society’s most urgent challenges, including climate change and energy security.

Peter Roos emphasized the importance of collaboration across sectors and political lines. “To move from breakthrough to large-scale impact, we need enabling policies, access to capital, and forward-looking infrastructure. That requires aligned efforts from across the political spectrum.”

As Sweden and the global community grapple with the twin challenges of decarbonization and energy independence, fusion energy is gaining attention as a viable long-term solution. However, its development requires proactive policymaking and public investment.

"Raising awareness of fusion energy’s potential across the political spectrum is essential,” added Mr Roos. “This isn’t just a technological issue—it’s about shaping the future of our economy, environment, and global competitiveness.”

The visit marks a step toward building broad-based support for fusion energy, ensuring that science and politics move forward hand in hand to secure a sustainable future.
