Changing the world with more sustainable energy solutions
Across the world, we are slowly but surely transitioning to a more sustainable energy system with an increased focus on renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, hydropower, and geothermal.
On March 15th, our CEO Peter Roos participated as a selected keynote On March 15th, Peter Roos – CEO of Novatron Fusion Group – was one of the keynote speakers at the KTH Innovation Catalyst: Energy event.
The highly anticipated event gathered industry leaders, startup founders and academia to kick-start a solution-oriented discussion on how to best strengthen collaboration between startups and the industry. The event also included pitches from newly established energy businesses.
“We are seeing increased investments in renewable energy infrastructure, research and development, and policies to support energy deployment. Sweden is at the forefront of establishing new green technology innovations and companies. But this is not enough,” said Peter Roos.
Changing the world is not easy
But developing a net-zero solution based on fusion energy is a significant step in the right direction. It is a well-known fact that the world needs increased energy reliability and consistency to meet growing demand. One of the problems with traditional baseload power sources is that they are significant emitters of greenhouse gas and have a negative environmental impact.
Fusion energy will transition the global energy market
Fusion is the fundamental process that powers the sun and the stars. It has played a critical role in the creation and sustenance of life on Earth. We are convinced that fusion energy is coming and sooner than you think.
“At Novatron Fusion Group, we have put together a formidable team, and we are very confident that this team can execute an aggressive and efficient roadmap. We will take full advantage of being a pioneer in this emerging market and setting the standard for others to follow,” added Peter. “Fusion energy as a high-impact investment opportunity is gaining momentum as more global breakthroughs are being announced”.
Long-term investments and strategies are needed
However, to make this happen, we need to establish an attractive business model, involve long-term investors, and be ready to advocate for systemic and social change. Huge climate subsidies are being made available for companies in the United States as part of the IRA act, and the UK government is also very active in its effort to push fusion technology forward.
“If investments are not made in Sweden, and in the EU, it might have consequences for companies like Novatron Fusion Group to grow and deliver on our project roadmap. This is why events like these are incredibly important, and we look forward to continuing this important dialogue,” he concluded.
